Your Actions Are the Real You
My thoughts are dark, so I must be a bad person.
I'm not the weather in my head. I'm what I actually do.
Everyone gets junk thoughts; they blow through like weather. Character is measured by hands and feet, not by the storm that passed by. Judge yourself by this week's actions.
Use it when: Intrusive thoughts, guilt spirals, wondering if you're secretly terrible.
Backed by: Matthew 7:20 — "by their fruits ye shall know them." The Savior's own measurement standard is output, and it applies to how you measure yourself too.
What He’d say
By their fruits — that's my measurement, and it applies to how you measure yourself. I don't mistake the weather in your head for the person doing the work. Look at your hands this week. That's you.
(His words from the passage above, spoken to you.)
