Hold Opinions Loosely

I'm sure I've got this figured out.

I'm seeing part of the picture through frosted glass. Hold the opinions loosely, the covenants tightly.

Certainty feels great and is frequently wrong. The doctrinal position is humbler: full knowledge comes later, so stay correctable now — especially about people.

Use it when: Arguments you must win, snap judgments, doubling down.

Backed by: 1 Corinthians 13:12 — "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face." Even Paul filed his own knowledge under 'partial.'

What He’d say

Right now you see through frosted glass; one day you'll see face to face. Until then, hold your certainty gently — especially about people. I see them whole. Trust me with the parts you can't.

(His words from the passage above, spoken to you.)
