The Check Is Written, the Date Is Blank
I've done everything right and nothing's happening.
The blessing is committed. The delivery date just isn't printed on my copy.
Obedience and payoff are connected by law, but the schedule belongs to Him. The gap in between isn't evidence the deal is off — it's just where faith happens to live.
Use it when: Faithful effort with no visible results, prayers on delay.
Backed by: D&C 130:20–21 — every blessing is "predicated" on law; obey the law, the blessing comes. Timing not included in the fine print. Habakkuk 2:3 — "the vision is yet for an appointed time... though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." The promise and the patience were issued together.
What He’d say
Every blessing runs on law: you keep the law, the blessing comes. I committed to that in writing. The date on the check is mine to fill in — but the check is already good.
(His words from the passage above, spoken to you.)
