Pay First, Watch What Opens

I can't afford to give ten percent away.

Paying God first is the one bill that comes with a dare attached. Take the dare.

It's the only commandment where God explicitly says 'test me on this.' Paying the first ten percent changes how you handle the other ninety — money managed by someone who's already decided what money is for.

Use it when: Tight months, budgeting fear, deciding priorities.

Backed by: Malachi 3:10 — "prove me now herewith... if I will not open you the windows of heaven." A standing challenge, still open. D&C 119:4 — the modern law of tithing, "a standing law unto them forever." Proverbs 3:9–10 — "Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty."

What He’d say

Prove me on this — it's the one place I've dared you to test me. Put the first portion where it belongs and watch me open the windows. The dare is still open.

(His words from the passage above, spoken to you.)
